National Settlement Depository (NSD), Russia’s central securities depository, reports that Alina Akchurina has been appointed managing director responsible for developing the collateral management systems, and Svyatoslav Berezin has been appointed the company’s information security director.
Akchurina will focus on development of the collateral management systems and the NSD’s tri-party services. She joined the NSD’s team in November 2013 as chief of product development department. Akchurina began her career in 1997. Prior to joining NSD, she worked in Deutsche Bank LLC (Moscow) as head of the trade operations processing centre in the bank’s investment unit. She graduated from the Moscow State University of Economics, Statistics and Informatics with a specialty in finance. She holds the Moscow State Linguistics University certificate and speaks several languages fluently.
Berezin will be responsible for the company’s information security. He has 15 years' experience in the IT sector. Prior to joining NSD, he has held senior positions in major companies including SCT Development, AMT Group, Russian State Open Technical University of Railway Transport. In 2010-2014 he headed the Information Security Division in Intesa Bank CJSC (Moscow); he was also responsible for the bank’s business continuity issues.
Berezin graduated from the Moscow Institute of Physics and Technology with a specialty in cyber security technologies. He holds a number of professional diplomas and certificates: ISO 2000:2005 International Audit, ISO 27001:2005 International Security Management System Lead Auditor, TMS certified administrator, and CCIE Security-Cisco Certified Security Expert Written.
