It has taken 44 years for justice to catch up with the England team, but boy, has it really caught up. After winning the World Cup in 1966 (as the nation's journalists never stop reminding us) helped by a 'goal' in which the ball didn't cross the line, England now find themselves up against the same opponents, Germany, screaming in vain to be awarded a goal when the ball DID cross the line.
It takes a heart of stone not to laugh...
